EU AI Act: The first comprehensive AI Law published in the EU Official Journal
The first AI law of its kind in the world has finally been published last July 12 in the Official Journal of the European Union. The EU AI Act is a comprehensive regulatory framework that is established to ensure safety and that fundamental human rights are upheld in the use of AI technologies. It adopts a risk-based approach where high-risk systems carry the burdens of meeting the regulatory requirements while other non-high-risk systems are imposed with limited transparency obligations.
Understanding the EU AI Act effective date and implications for AI Systems
